An Epic Sunset at Lake Tekapo, New Zealand

This is not the hardest or most technical walk in the world but the view is just magical.

One evening, I decided to go for another time to Mt John Summit just to enjoy the sunset without taking any photos. I couldn’t resist capturing these moments as video. At first, it was just to keep these memories as a souvenir but, it’s better to share right? So here are some snaps from the place.

Mount John is a loop of 8.2km with 357m in elevation gain. Very easy and quick to enjoy a 360 view. So the day you go to New Zealand or if you stop at Lake Tekapo, make sure to go to Mt John. If for some reason you can’t hike, you can still drive up to the observatory and enjoy the view, just make sure to check the open hours for the gate to drive up there. Lake Tekapo is also one place with the darker skies in New Zealand.
